The Delhi Art Gallery is an endeavor to create a simplistic space to retail the best of contemporary art in India. The architecture aimed to create a sanctuary, a calm and introspective retail store conducive to the appreciation of art in the gallery-like an environment for the art aficionado. The intent was to create an optimal setting for exhibiting art, which would be flexible while at the same time ensures the utilization of the limited wall area. Instead of one entire room, five moveable and reconfigurable panels were used to create five rooms, with more wall area for the retailing of the art works. The entire space constantly expresses itself as an example of a dynamic and transforming architectural space; creating an eventful experience which can display the art in an elegant, yet innovative manner.
